Just wondering what you guys thought. Audi atw Me7.1 018p and getting no signal from maf and throwing a low voltage code.

setup is..

Midsize turbo
ev14 Bosch 550cc  Krkte at 0.0448
3bar fpr tvub @ psi values
stock maf sensor w/ 83mm housing Scaled using Maf adjust
AFR seems to be ok just no signal from maf (via live data) and that voltage code



Tested the connector and had correct specs within the terminals which led me with 2 known good sensors and a known bad 1 that dont start the car at all.. Any ideas, could this be an improper scaling in MLHFM?? hardware that Ive missed?? (follwed alldata procedure for testing)

Here is the wiring schematic for the atw. Als, that car is a narrowband ME7.5 ECU. Anyway, use the schematic to check continuity and for possible shorts to ground. If all looks ok try a replacement maf from a known working car.

Im a tech to by trade and have access to the same schematics and checked over voltage and continuity between teminals at the connector, all seemed to check out. also as mentioned, bought a new sensor to try and had same issue and have a known bad 1 that wont even start the car..

Where it really gets interesting is AFR will follow accordingly (kindve) between open and closed loop. Also to correct my OP im getting a low " Signal" code instead of voltage and no data from G70. Btw this is a narrowband 400bb managment if that means anything

Anyway im at lost with this fault. Ive been dailing in fuel since its been following anyway with no timing pull, mis's or werid hiccups. itll dip in to rich when im not on the pedal but i think its cuz i messed wit KFZWMN years back.. I almost want to ditch the maf, cheat the fault in error class and proceed since ive always wanted to switch to wideband lol. but I kindve want to make sense of this..

I mean it has 3 things in the circuit the ecu, wiring and the maf, it's one of the 3. Odds are it's not the ecu, you have swapped several mafs so odds are it's not several bad mafs so that leaves the wiring. That or you have the mafs installed backwards. Installing the mafs backwards will result in showing 0 air flow, and the car will die instantly. The flanged end of the maf goes to the air filter. Normally there is an arrow that shows the direction of air flow, it should point to the turbo inlet.

Im going to dig more into wiring with those schms on hand..Its just werid because AFRs are moving the way it should on a narrowband and the car seems to be running fine at PT and WOT. To where as before I unplug the maf it would dump rich at all times and run sluggish, if it runs at all.. Now I uplug the maf it does nothing but will have the same fault with or without it connected Just curious and hoping for better results with it running properly.

Also 0% lamda control and 0% ''Specified" V I believe.. 0.45v lamda Actual from Sensor 1???....


Am I wrong for thinking an overscaled Maf other maybe S1

Im going to have to run out there with my laptop like its 2010's again with me7logger or somthing. I found the perfect KRKTE hex to run my ev14 550 w/ 3bar on my setup and the thing feels great but I have no signal from the Maf, from 2 different scanners that I use for work everyday, A MIL light for it on a narrowband platform from what I believe.. fuel follows between PT/WOT, boost is there, no timing pulls, no mis, Stoich at idle..What am I missing?

thanks again for the diagrams, maybe its a ref wire or somthing??... Im about to ditch the MAF and call it WB lol.....completely kidding..

Ha just found a solid connector w/ the pigtail going back about 5in in my stash, some use to call me a hoarder back then but i call it psychic lol. This will probley solve my issue (maybe)..

Sorry if this is the wrong place and going back and forth with myself. Its the only forum I used for this car and hopfully itll help som1 still driving these boxes, this 1 happens to be my most reliable car at the moment and its still very much alive...

I had to unplug just to safely get it back home...so even tho i have this evil idea stuck in my head. I have to rework my fuel tables and start over to acquire a conservative tune on a narrowband system..


I think Daz or one of the OG's told me many moons ago I should be fooling with the WB 018cH file anyways...but ima let my mind wonder eleswhere a bit, Thanks again for your feedback NoName and happy tuning gents!!

You dont need to swap to wideband to "properly" tune the car. Buy a standalone wideband gauge to verify fueling. Many people will say " if you want to tune for big turbo you need to go wideband" thats not true, not only that but you will need to port over the calibration data from your current file to the new one. Also, just because you plain on doing a wideband conversion doesn't mean mafless is the best for that especially anything that's close to a stock turbo in size you are basically omitting the most important sensor feedback

I always believed your statement true and familiarized myself with tuning this bin through out the years and never went through with the swap for the same reasons youve mentioned lol.. My 3rd party WB gauge, KRKTE, TVUB and alil BTS served me well as far as my abilities go... I just been wondering now a days, I run a td05 turbo on a t03 flange with bigger injectors should I be focusing my attenion on a wideband system.

I might only be thinking this way because I choose the complete wrong approach and calibrated fueling before fixing the problem at hand and now that its fixed, threw fueling way off..
