The ECU will accept a flash in that state.

This screen shows, that ECU is locked in "programm mode"
Waiting for help you cаn open ECU-box and check follows:
1. No additional crypt module installed
2. Flash chip has no visual manual soldering vestige
3. Flash chip has Am29F800BB marking (not ...800BT)

Well jason came to my work to help me out . the chip i have installed was a AM29F800BB-70SI  not the AM29F800BB-70SD that is used by the factory . the ecu had a giac chip in it and i have infinic install a new chip in it and he installed the AM29F800BB-70SI and flashed it for me then mailed it back. i have tried to use older version of nefmoto and it woul dnever flash and the new version got it stuck in program mode.
Jason was able to boot mode flash it with galletto cable and software. then we tried to bench flash again with nefmoto and it failed so we flashed again with galletto. I dont know about chips and Jason really didnt know what the difference might be but it was unabe to flash through dumb cable mode.

One thing I forgot to try was flashing my serial eeprom over to see if there is something wrong with your e2p...   I don't know if that could ever be an issue for flashing.  You could do that now with your KKL cable and ArgDub's utility - let me know if you need help... Otherwise I'll be back in your area on the 4th and we can try flashing my e2p.

Galletto non-boot mode flashed just fine too, but NefMoto would not flash.

I think the SD and SI designations have to do with environmental conditions (heat) but I'm not sure.
