Hey, Just posting here while I wait on a response from support. In case anyone can help.

I am trying to read AL551 TCM Bosch SH725xx with pcmflash module 82

I have Powerbox and genuine openport 2.0 connected to powerbox. This is my first time doing a bench read but I am sure everything is wired correctly and I toggle the 12V on and off when prompted but PCM flash fails to read, itll begin and then after displaying eeprom size itll say completed unsuccessfully. Everytime it fails the tcm makes a noise and the powerbox red "VECU" light starts flickering until I turn it off. I  tried using direct 12V as well in case the powerbox was faulty or not giving enough power but the result was the same.

Previously I tried clone SM2 but had same issues so I purchased genuine openport to use with the powerbox instead but the result is the same. Has anyone had issues using openport 2.0 with powerbox? Is there anything you recommend that I try?

PCMflash support recommended the genuine openport 2.0 to me for this purpose

Thanks for the response. I figured it out. I'm an idiot. The "VKEY" wire on the powerbox needed to be connected as well. I did not see that mentioned anywhere. I will leave this thread up in case there are more idiots down the road like me that did not know this.
