	1.8T AWT SAI cold start problem « on: March 20, 2025, 11:13:35 AM »

Hi, I have a problem with my 1.8T AWT engine, designation 4B0906018DH.

I removed the SAI pump from my car and blocked the combi-valve at the cylinder head. According to the S4 wiki, I disabled the SAI check, but still, when I start the cold car, the whole vehicle shakes as if the ignition is failing. This stops after about 30 seconds. Could someone check my .bin file to see if the pump is properly disabled or removed?

Additionally, the car is stock. It has the original pump, injectors, and the entire exhaust system including the catalytic converter.
The Check Engine light does not come on.

Shaking engine is probably from the VVT getting actuated during the SAI warm up. Look into how to disable that from happening.

Method of SAI removal I did on 1.8t was
MSLBAS (SAI Nominal secondary air mass) changed to 0.
MSLUB table changed to all 0.

No other changes made elsewhere.

How did you block the valve? The best thing is to put a plate on the cylinder head, also blocked on the air box, remove n112, simplify the circuit as much as possible. Delete Sai in eskonf and mslbas/lub to 0 should work. Post your file if you want someone to help you.

This is my current setup: slightly increased boost, SAI... hmm, I'm not convinced. As I mentioned this morning, it runs unevenly on cold start, but once it warms up, it's fine. There are no check engine errors on the dashboard, and none in VCDS either.
