Hi all,

I am a bigginer, All i nkow at the moment that i have  galletto 1260 i tried to remap my 1999 golf tdi. i connected the cable to odb saved the original file download the remapperd file my care is stronger so the remap was successfull  but i cant communicate with the ecu again since the remap. so i cant put the original file back.

My 2nd  problem is that we tried to remap max friend astra 1.7 cdti but about the half way of the remap my laptop turned off and the car doesn't start since then. and i cant communicate with the ecu.

so he bought a 2nd hand ecu and immo for his car. is there any way to remap or restore the ecu again it has been took out from the car so can i connet to my computer to restore? it is ISUZU 1.7L/TX2 Diesel ECM
what cable do i need? dose  it need any power supply?

Hi,
did you use boot mode for flashing? If not, I think this is the solution for both of your "problems".

Hi,
first of all you should check weather the galetto tool supports this ECU.
then: If I was you I would decide to buy a cable based on the expected frequency of usage. You do not neccessarily need such a cable. In the end you only need to connect power supply and K-ine (in case the galetto supports this type of ECU).
then you need to know the boot pin and you're done....
that's all.

Hi Greg,
Thanks for your reply. yes the galletto support this ecu i already read the this ecu with galletto and i was about to upload a new program to this ecu  when unfortunetly my laptop turned off about on half way of upload. since this  happend i cannot read or write the ecu through odb , so thats why i try to connet directly to the ecu.

ok, so power supply goes to k-line. how can i find the boot pin?

Hi,
I do not think that the ecu is broken. It's just rubbish on the chip due to the notebook-crash during writing process.

And: No, do not connect power supply to the K-line! Connect battery + and - according to the wiring diagram of your ecu.  in addition connect the k-line to your galetto connector, this is the communication line between your software and the ECU.
You will find tons of information how to connect an ECU with the galetto connector and the power supply. Even though it is not for your ECU you will understand the method and the the only thing is to convert this to your (ECU) situation.
Then find out the boot pin (I do not know this but if not in this brilliant forum then there are also other forums where such information are published) and get the ecu into boot mode. Flash it in boot mode and you're happy  Smiley

how do you know that it is hybrid? is it harder to flesh in boot?
