Hello everyone,

How can I read my PLCC44 EPROM on my A4 1.8TQ AEB (M3.8.2) ?
I'd like to read my original map to save it, and write a modified one.

I've found this one, is it good for this job ?

To write a modified file, you need to buy a new clean chip (for ex. M27C1024), since the original chip is OTP and cannot be reprogrammed.
New chip is not flash and is also OTP - you can program it only once.
By the way, the original firmware dumps are freely available on the Internet.
Just read and publish the ECU ID information from the label.

Thanks for the clarification.
I'll check the exact part number of my chip before ordering one.

No need to check.
You will find the Bosch B58548 chip there.
This is a re-labeled obsolete TMS27PC210-12FNT chip, and you can't buy it now.
Just buy the available analog - M27C1024 in PLCC44 package.

Hi,
I've received the T48 programmer (this one).
In the list there is not the ST M28F102. Do I have to read and write with M27C1024 DIP40 option ?

This is TMS27c210 chip on your picture.
TL866 gang programmer should support it.

BTW there is a strange picture on the ZIP socket - it looks like the chip adapter is installed upside down

I've found a problem : the adapter was not wired correctly for 27C210 / 27C1024

This is how it's wired on the adapter

Pins 12 and 34 are not connected.
They should be connected to GND.
I've done the modification :

now the program can see the eprom, but there are still 2 inaccessible pins (contact has returned to 15).

I've tried with the second eprom, it does the same error.
So is there an other missing connection, or the problem comes from programmer ?

Pins 12 and 34 are not connected.
They should be connected to GND.

Your adapter is not original XGProg adapter.
Just make sure your adapter 100% matches the image - direct cross pined PLCC44 to DIP4
Then select chip as TMS27C210A DIP40 !!!
