Hi everybody

Is it possible to do an IMMO OFF on an MSA 15.5-7.2 with VAG_KCAN_Commander_2.5 ?

The car has the immo box reference 4A0 953 234 F.

Thank you ;-)

If you are broke or expecting free handouts DO NOT message me. I'll probably put you on blast if you do.

Hello, I forgot to specify that in addition to the MSA15.5-7.2 ECU, I have the IMMO box under the steering wheel, reference 4A0 953 234 F

Is IMMO OFF done on the ECU or on the IMMO box?

you have different roadblocks to overcome
- hot air soldering station
- soldering iron
- eeprom reader
- correct eeprom adapter
- maybe new eeprom

better buy an emulator für 20 bucks and wire it in instead of the immo box

I have all the equipment (I just hope the eprom adapter is the right one).
I just need the procedure for this model.

Hello,
My son is at home, so I've looked at his ECU.
This is the chip for IMMO :

Is it possible to read it with this ?

Or do I have to use one of these adaptaters (wich one) ?

I have look at Xgpro v12.96 to see the models available, there is a lot and I don't know wich one I have to take ?

Try Microchip Memory and 24C02A

Thanks for your reply.

I unsoldered the chip, put it in the SOP8/16 adapter, and selected Microchip Memory and 24C02A, but I still get an error.
I checked the chip's position on the adapter : OK.

I'm afraid my XGecu T48 enclosure is defective.  Huh

I can't put it the other way around, otherwise the adapter is hindered by the locking lever

I just retested with a new chip, and it still doesn't work.
I think the programmer is defective; I'm returning it to the seller.

Do you have a model you could recommend for reading the 24C02, 27C1024, and m28F102 EPROMs?

Have you checked continuity from the pin through the adapter into the programmer?

Can you try it with the minipro software? Your programmer look like a never version or clone of the minipro.

In your screenshot of the software the lever is down right while your chip/adapter is on top.

As you can see my programmer does have the IC orientation and pin1 (dot) on the case. maybe you are just on the wrong side of your programmer?

edit: i just looked at tl866-3g which is shown in your software screenshot and i think you are working on the wrong side of the programmer!
