Hi Guys

I have been doing quite a bit of logging and trying to fine tune my hybrid k04 setup, I did a bit of searching trying to find a base line for the amount of maf gs I should be aiming for with my setup 1.8T K04 hybrid, s3 injectors, dsmic, 3" dp. In my tune I have ldrxn/kfmirl/etc all setup to request about 1.5bar and looking at boost logs I am getting that BUT looking at the load I keep seeing a max load of 191.7 which looks like what the max values in the last column of the stock IRL map are. I found a couple of other logs from similar hardware setups and looking at their load they also seemsto top out at 191.7 as well. Why I am looking at this is when I was trying to use obd dyno I logged throttle position and while doing a WOT run in third I was noticing throttle going to partial throttle at about 4500rpm. So my question is, is there another map thats limiting my load to what the stock IRL max column is and is that limiting what power I am getting out of tune or am I looking in the wrong place?

Hi ,

Log 003-114-115 , that should give you a better understand of the TPS . It does show 100 % open tho in your logs . Look at the RPM block in group 54 of your logs - the RPM is not going up , unlie in the first column.

Also , is that a hybrid KO3 or proper Hybrid KO4-20/22/23 ? I looks like you are at the coast , airflow should be over 220 g/s at the coast

Are you logging 16 bit load rl_w?

Throttle angle is limited by KFWDKSMX.

On my hybrid k04 I was running around 266-273grams, this was at 23psi from 4750 to a redline of 7000.

If you log with vagcom it only ever reads up to 191 even if your load is 210! Where as me7 loggers should what you are actually doing.

As my boost stayed at 23psi the load decrease as rpm increased due to the VE of the engine.

Have you adjusted kfmiop? This is the torque map and will cause load to decrease if not correct.

Yup I am at the coast and I thought I should be in the low 200g/s it is a hybrid k03 with a 023 k04 compressor wheel.

I was using vagcom in this log but have done a few logs with me7logger but will spend some more time on this tune now.

I had kfmiop modified but I was running into lumpy idle where the idle would go from 700 - 800 and back down then up again, set iop back to stock and the lumpy idle has gone away.

Vagcom will only show load upto 191! So good chance what you're seeing isn't limited to 191.

K03 hybrid with the k04 compressor and k04 turbine should be around 215-220grams.

Do you have an uprated actuator on there or stock k03 one? As the stock actuator won't hold boost, looking at your logs though it looks like you might have an uprated one.

Which ECU are you running? I've got a good kfmirl/kfmiop which is for a k04 or k03 hybrid , which I can send you. Can you post your bin file?

Just had a look at the file you posted, is that your remapped file or stock file? it looks incredibly tame for a K03 let alone a hybrid..

What MAF are you running and is the hybrid a full K04 hybrid? I see it's on an A4 so are you suing the original k03 turbine housing and does it have both the K04 compressor and Turbine?

One a side note, I am liking you way of adjusting/increasing the axis's.. genius!

Thats the stock file, I am running the stock MAF, its a K03 turbine housing and k03 turbine with a k04-023 compressor wheel. I will post my current IRL and ldrxn shortly.

cool thanks  Grin

suggestions on irl/iop, also I am trying to figure out a way of getting more power low down in the RPM back in my 2stroke bike tuning days for more torque we would increase timing by 4degrees does the same apply here ie could I increase timing at low load numbers and then back it out as the boost starts coming in? Currently if I am under 2500rpm the car just doesnt go anywhere.
