Hey there. I recently flashed my spare ECU from 8E0909518F to 8E0909518AK I used a KWP2000+
The flash finished ok. But once done there was no communication. I am trying to flash in BOOT MODE with a Galletto 1260 But can't get into boot mode.
Any idea if I am screwed here or is there hope?

No matter how badly the flash went, boot mode should always work

Is there an alternate pin to ground on the back of the PCB? I think I saw someone grounding a NEC chip on the back?

OK so I can get into boot mode. I used ArgDub's me795040 tool (in boot mode) to read the eeprom and the file matches the one before I did the flash.
Galletto 1260 continues to say "boot mode inactive" even though I now know it is in boot mode.
Must be a driver or OS problem? Windows 7 32bit. I tried compatibility mode to xp SP3. Any suggestions?

-Fresh install if windows 7 32bit. -Fresh install of galletto -Constant 14v with a charger set up -successful boot mode
Tried a random AF box file I had and it took it. Im now going to try to put the original F box file back on.

Solved. 14V is too much for a china galletto. 12.5 seems fine. Works every time now.

The 518F is an '02 and the 518AK is 03-04?
The bootloaders is different between these years, 02 had the earlier one and 03+ the later bootloader.

On the me7.5 f-box how are you physically putting the ecu in boot mode? Is it a similar process as the me7's?... (Open ecu, pin 24... Etc?)
Mine is bricked i have an '02 f-box and trying to figure it out.
I have a kwp2000+ tool, is that going to work or is it required to have the galletto for boot mode?

It is the exact same process. Pin24 to ground, power ecu, remove pin24 from ground.
