I made it 4 years ago. Many solutions are no longer relevant today, since there are i-pads and android pads ))) But if you interested I can tell about it. It is 10.4" LCD display with LVDS interface and resistive usb touch screen. And connected through LVDS-VGA controller. The PC made from micro-ATX motherboard with AMD 2core processor with integrated graphic chip. Power supply is custom made for automatic switch and off with timer then ignition up/down. Power consumption from 40 to 90 watts, depending on the CPU load

If you want, I can give you some software so you can make a realtime dash from ME7Logger input on your carputer.
Do you want it ?
In Winlog the gauges are fully customizable to whatever you want them to look like.

I am using this to tune my RS4 Smiley
