Hi, I would tune the S3 from a friend to running with 100% E85.

The file is in attachement, Hw 0261206442, Sw 354091.

The car has a set of 630cc Deka injectors, full exhaust with decat, air filter in the original box, RS4 BOV.

Brand new fuel pump and fuel filter (original)

N249 and secondary air pump are removed.

On the tuning file, principal changes:
KRKTE: 0,0683
TVUB: 1,1968; 0,736; 0,4864; 0,3328; 0,2496
LAMFA: set to 0,85-0,82 on full load
KFFDLBTS: all map set to 0
KFLBTS: taper to 0,75
TABGBTS: 700
KFZW(2): + 6°
Boost 1.5b taper 1.2 at 6000tr
Innovate lm1 lambda

The issues:
1/ MAf reading is too low! (with this tuning max airflow is 185gr/s with hard tune)
With 100%E85 but with ori file (only KRKTE an TVUB (3% partial fuel trim, 8% idle fuel trim) max maf is 145gr/s!
The AFM was brand new but AMK, so I replace for a real APY (brand new bosch). but readind is similar. Test for air leak is OK.

2/ Engine can't run up to 6000tr.
On pull, boost are OK, lambda too, but when reach 6000r, the lambda mesured drop to 0,65 then motor can't rev ore (like regulation or revlimiter)
Same issue with stok file with only KRKTE an TVUB ...

I've take out the airbox and AFM but same issue, test for air leak is OK.

Thank for your help, I don't understand what happened, that make me crazy!

Regards.

Some reason I cant open your logs.
Sounds like fault o2 sensor or maybe because it uses tabgbts is 700c why so low?, because now it follws protection map almost all the time in hard pull.
Try to drive lamda sensor unplugged if you have external wb lamda.
Sometimes in long dynopull I see same thing lamda shows 0.67 and channel 33 goes 0% and real afr is something around 10.
Some sw versions do that if you hit tabgbts.
You can maube disable it to put very high value. If that doesnt help try another sensor.

Thanks for reply, logs come from me7 logger.

In Logs i can see lambts respect the target i've would in map, then 0,75 after 5500tr, lamfa ok with 0,85. So I don't understand why at 6000tr lambda drop to 0,65. Injector time up from 14ms to 17ms! I can't see a lambda specified so rich.
Maybe I does log another variable to see what happened?

Thanks for your help.

Some news, no issue with this car...

I've test many other mod in the file, with stock tabgbts and lambts maxed at 0,77... But same issue, in long pull, when rev go above 6000tr afr drop down to 0,65 then rev stay and don't go up 6200tr...
I've test to decrease kfkhfm above 6000tr but same issue!

Maybe I does reduce krkte? But my long fuel trim is ok +3%

Another thing, for the low maf reading, with log voltage from maf, u max =4,51v. Regardless maf linearisation mlhfm, max maf is 240gr/s. However in the same log ma max is 185gr/s.
What can cause this trouble?

Thank for your help.

First of all you need to create a proper logging template.
Your values contain garbage.
Generate the .ecu file properly and don't post files where you have search/replaced things, as no editor can open them.

Sorry for my logs, but when I does look at this after the run, I run a macro with excel to separate all colums then the log can't be use with ecuXplot...

I post another logs (but after separate column) with graph.

With trick on lambts, the Fuel injector time is OK after 6000tr but the car stop to rev up too... (My Innovate LM1 log look same drop in lambda to 0,65 when problem occur).

Then I think maybe a trouble with Fuel pressure in high rev (stock brand new pump), maybe the flow is not enough in high rev with E85 and 630cc injectors?
I does install in next day a fuel pressure jauge to see if pressure drop down in high rev when motor can rev up...

Maybe the sparkplug need new gap for burn corectly E85 at high rev?

The second trouble, I can see in the logs from MAF Voltage that is go up to 4,5V but log from MAF don't exeed 185gr/s (not logic with the stock mlhfm map... What can cause this trouble?

Just post the .csv that is output from ME7Logger.
No XLS, no screwed up CSV files.

Hi, so in attachement a file from ME7Logger with no change!

I cant see any problem on that log except that it is bit aggressive on fueling for narrowband.

Ok, I agree, this tuning is only a test for find trouble.... then I set fueling a bit lean.

But in my wideband AFR log, the lambda drop to 0,65 after 6000tr and stop to rev up...

Today I've use a fuel pressure meter, and with stock FPR 3bar, FP hit to 4.3Bar on overboost (1.5Bar) and drop slowy to 3.5Bar at 6000tr.

Then I think my fuel system is OK... However the car don't make power after 6000tr and when I put many gear to redline, power down after 5500-6000tr.

In attachement printscreen to see AFR drop at high rev (6000-6500) when car don't rev up more (but on the ME7logs the afr request is ok with 0,75-0,8 and Time inj time stay about same range.

The AFR ratio you have on axis where is based from?
You re running narrowband with 0.65 AFR that means that on block 31 it reads 0.88-0.9volts.

This log come from my wideband Innovate LM1 install instead stock narrowband in downpipe (no rear emplacement available). However my LM1 send a narrowband signal in the Ecu input instead the stock proble (0-1v) and a narrowband lamda has his heat resistor connected to the 2 other wire Ecu.

Today I've gapped the sparkplug from 0.75mm to 0.65mm and after few test (no log), the motor is best in the high rev range, and go up to 6500tr.

I think replace the sparkplug (PF6RQ), what do you think for PF7RQ from RS4. There are colder, maybe it's best for running stage2 1.6B with E85? Or does I continue to use stock thermal indice?

Use BKR8EIX on E85...
Do not run hot plugs. There is no reason to, as there is little if any soot formation.

Ok, BKR8EIX come this weekend.

For my MAF reading who is no realistic, anyone has idea?

MAF read with VCDS or with ME7 don't exeed 185gr/s when K04 put 1.6bar boost at 4000tr and 1.3 at 5500tr. Ignition are +6° (But U Maf go to 4.52V who transfer map  MLHFM equal 864Kg/h... so 240gr/s!)

Hi!

The MAF reading is absolutely good.
I attach you the block GGHFM,  as you can see there is a MAF offset and this has a value of 200kg/h. If you make the math
864 - 200 = 664 kg/h  ->  184,4 g/s.

I have an S3 AMK and my MAF maximum value I can see is 170g/s. I don't know why I can't raise the boost the desired value of 1,1 bar at 6500 rpm.

Regards!
