Here is the XDF I've been working on for the ME7.1.1 4z7907551S ECU (03-04 2.7T A6/Allroad Tip)

I started with the 4z7907551R xdf that's here, and cleared out the first few categories to organize maps into. I left all the R-Box maps in the xdf to make it easier to find more maps in the future.

For maps and constants in the top few folders which are named in English;
-If the map description has been translated, I have verified that address is correct by testing changes to it in my car
-If the map description is still in german, that means the map looks like it's correct but I have not verified it.

I'll keep it updated as I come across more maps that I find as I continue to work on my own tune. If you have any more known/verified maps that you'd like to share, let me know and I'll add them!

Did you find the R and the S to be radically different? For example, I had trouble with ESKON for the S.

I haven't compared the disassembly of the two bins very extensively but I haven't seen any reason to believe they would be significantly different. I had stuck with the S-box on my car since it is the latest version of the BEL auto software & it's what came on my car originally. However, I'm switching over to the R-box now because it works better with the Nefmoto flashing software.

Note: The above update will likely be my last for the S-box.

There are a few differences.  Most tables are in different places, although generally not far apart.  The S and AA have a few additional tables where the R makes do with scalars.  And I agree, S and AA are a pain to flash and not have the 'programming not finished' problem.  But radically different?  No, don't appear to be.

hate to butt in here, but it would be great if anybody experienced in dissassembly could help find the CRC locations used for checksumming BEL files..

its one of the main features missing from my free checksum checker/corrector

Truly wish I could help, but that's a step too far for me I'm afraid. I'm the typical end-user, not much more.  Happy to help test, though.

Would it help at all to compare the differences between files before and after checksum correction?  If so, here's a link to some BEL files pre and post correction.

Or perhaps the great setzi could give you some assistance?

Wow. Thanks Big_Dan.

That is indeed of GREAT help...

setzi has moved on (I can't seem to contact him) and i've already emailed andy whittaker about BEL issues and ECUFix.

Sadly, the latter did not comment on my request to work together on the issue.
