Here is the situation ... the car is audi tt 225hp, its with 2 O2 sensors, when ID the ecu i get:
8L0906018M 0261206797 352821, read the file with mpps, and i get 1mb file, read the file with nefmoto, and again read as 29f800 file with no warning, sent the file to my tuner, and he ensured me the file should be 512k, sent me 512k file, then i flashed it with nefmoto, and the car runs great ...
whats the problem, i am confused ... from internet i read tha if its 2 O2 it should be 1mb file, when i read it it was 1mb file, but my tuner sent me 512kb file and the car runs perfect with it ... flashed with nefmoto, got error for incorrect memory layout, but flashed, and works ...

1st file is what i got with mpps, second is what my tuner said it should be my oem file

the internet never lies.

i dont understand your question. if you dont believe your tuner, why would you believe one of us if we tell you the same answer?

ok, my question is why nefmoto software and mpps read it as 1mb ... if its 512k ... and what should be the memory layout for this ecu.
If somebody have ori file, please download what i downloaded with the mpps, and tell me what you think ... my tuner made only 1 225hp tt .. that one, he get the file from some his source, but its not the car original file ... the file downloaded from the car is attached, the file my tuner gave me is also attached ... so why is that? my file 1mb my tuner file 512k

512kb is correct.
mpps assumes 1mb, so when it reads it, it comes out as 1mb. its the 512kb file doubled. look at 7ffff and fffff. you will see the same chksum.
512kb is 400bb flash.

thanks, but when i try to read it with nefmoto as 400bb, it says not correct layout ... that was strange for me, and my tuner also told me not to worry as the file is somehow mirrored ... the other question is, if i flash this file with mpps, do i expect the car not to start again?( just asking, i flashed in nefmoto using 400bb, and ignoring the warning ... but i was very scared not to brick it Wink )

if you want my personal opinion, nefmoto is flakey at best.
mpps will flash it just fine if you select the correct 512kb file.

every time I write on ECU my file (1024kb) I get an error from mpps, but the car turn on ( Smiley ) and the map is loaded.
now i have a corret 512kb ori. Can i try to write this ori on my ecu?
thanks

The 512kb file is what is actually on the flash of your ecu. There is no 1024kb flash inside.
You can write the 512kb files if you like, then if you go and read it off the ecu it will come out as 1024 again :-)
It's not possible to write a 1024kb to this flash, since there is not that much space. It's just an error that some of these ecus have. No worries  Tongue
