After completing a flash, if you can connect with VCDS or any other diagnostic software, chances are the flash was successful. Scan for codes, anything that doesn't reference programming not finished, or checksum error isn't a big deal.

Hi all,

You were correct - bad *bin seems to have been the root cause.
The check to see whether NefMoto can connect already in the bench saves a lot of time.
Original bin worked fine, now I'm even back to my tune and it's still working.
Fantastic!
I look forward to see if the ECU tolerates the higher boost now...
