Hello all,

there is a lot of information around for tuning our ECU's, Though, One thing that isn't explained that well is.. How does one "port" the Settings to another ecu??

Say, Using the information provided for the 2Step ( launch control ) and finding the correct information on the newer ME7.5 Ecus.

I just cant seem to find the reading material, or it being explained anywhere.. and Honestly, My eyes are starting to kill me from looking at winols for hours on end. Cheesy

Also, While i'm at it... How accurate are the DAMOS for the different Ecu's out there?
So if i have a DAMOS file for "06A906032E", Is there going to be much change for "06A906032LP"?

thanks in advance.

Completely different map locations... 06A906032E is from a 99 beetle and LP is for a Golf awp engine. I have a nice def file for a 06A906032LP if you need it.

To port settings between different ECUs you need to finding the matching maps. If you have the defintion files for the ECUs, the easiest way to do it is by matching the names of the maps.

That'd be awesome if possible...

but to be honest, I'd be more interested in a HS if you've got one.

to be honest, anything you've Got....

The main things that I'd like to get going when its in the car is rear o/2 delete ( both for heater and signal ), The CEL's for Evap/n112/etc, and if at all possible, mafless as well.

Its going to be installed as a swap, and those items are not making an appearance in the car Cheesy

Is there any reason you removed the n112?  I just capped mine off, but left it in place and haven't had any issues.

Honestly? Its a swap... so removing as much wiring and etc is towards the top of my list.

Plugging it in, or soldering a 330OHM resistor would get the same effect ( Fuel adapting and etc ) but, the resistor is MUCH easier to hide, and wont break. Smiley
