are there many here that play with the vag diesel ecus? i was looking to see if anyone has tried with using different ecu software numbers flashed on to the wrong ecus? ie same as the s4 stuff with m box flash's on to anything with the right size chip?

my predicament is i have a 1.9tdi a4 avant with a generic 160bhp map on, the comapany that sent me the file also list a 180bhp map but only for certain ecu numbers. my hardware matches the engine that the 180 map would go with so i am wondering if i can flash the 180 map on to my ecu. my ecu comes up as 038906019KE and id like to flash on a map for a 038906019HJ?

Should work.
If it doesn't work, you can always recover EDC15 anyway with the right tools.
But generally with EDC15 you can flash almost anything on any ECU.
You just must make sure that the hardware is indeed the same...

Or instead of flashing generic maps you could just either tune it yourself, or I could tune it for you.

PRJ can you do EDC16's as well?

Like the V10 Touareg flavor?
