That doesn't give us anything to go on.

How about posting the log, or explaining what is happening and what you're doing when you try it.

List all settings, type of cable used, etc.

You can't just say "it doesn't work, help me" and expect people to know what's wrong.

+1, you need to read more and figure out the basics

basic steps:
1. download nefmoto
2. get a ftdi based cable that nefmoto will recognize
3. try reading from your car

I'm just having trouble actually using the software. I have the fdti cable and it all works, I don't know how to get my memory layout and how to get the bin file using the software. Everything connects just fine.

1. Open Nefmoto
2. Click KWP 2000 Flashing Tab
3. Click Connect Slow/Fast Init.
4. Click "Choose Memory Layout"
5. Open the Memory Layouts Folder
6. Select ME7 "29F800BB.MemoryLayout.xml" this is the correct one for your ecu.
7. Select Read if you want to read out your ecu
8. If you are wanting to flash you must "Choose Flash File" then click "Full Write Flash"

Very simple i dont know if i could explain it any easier.
