Hi , I'm about to tune my timing on my 1.8T and I have a quastion and can't find the answer for days.

It may be stupid but for 160% & 6000 rpm the timing is near 20. Do I have to make some conversion to have the real timing because this seems impossible to me .

Thank you

If it seems impossible to you, then it seems you do not have a lot of experience with the VAG 1.8T engine. 160% is a tiny amount of boost.

that's why i'm asking . If you rise the boost to 180% let say and the last value of the KFZW is for 160% it will use the 160% value or it will pull it back. That's the last question promise Tongue

I'm not asking you to tune my file , calm down . And no I didn't found if the ecu follow the last entry in the table , if you know it you could say YES and that's it. Since i'm on this forum i'm only reading and trying not to ask dumb questions .

sorry for asking sooo dumb questions ... i'm good I have all the information needed , completly new table .

The axis is not a multiplier if that's what you're asking.

I'm calm, this forum is full of info. You just have to look for it I love this place I've learned more about ecus in the last 6 months
then I have in the 15 years I've worked on VW and AUDI. The way you worded your ? made it sound like you need to do alot more
research before you start tuning. Like I said I could not tune your car If I wanted I mean I could could change some things and turn
the boost up, but thats not a tune. I still have a long way to go.

Sorry if you thought I was being a dick. My goal was to point you towards a great piece of info in a cheeky manor.

As said before, axis is not a multiplier. 100% is atmospheric, 160% will be between 0.6 and 1 bar depending on the calibration, altitude, temperature and of course engine volumetric efficiency.

If your last column is 160% then it will use 160% for 160% and higher.
