Hi, I been trying to figure out if my flash memory is bad.. I been having issue trying to connect using NefoMoto tool. I try to read the ecu and I get this:

Quote

Connecting to address 0x01.
Slow init succeeded.
Switching to KWP2000 session.
Connected
Disabling Windows sleep mode.
Reading ECU flash memory.
ECU reports programming session preconditions have been met.
Negotiating communication timings.
Successfully changed to new communication timings.
Requesting security access.
Security access granted.
Starting diagnostic session.
Disconnecting because no response was received for the Tester Present message.
Disconnected
Reading ECU flash memory failed.
100% complete.
Restoring Windows sleep mode.

This is the ecu info:

I have had 0 luck getting nefmoto to read or write a 518AF, although I know others have. My errors have been the exact same as yours.

Bootmode write it with galletto, or use MPPS. Works every time.

Thank you again Ddillenger! My cable is on order. I will update when I get it. Time to wait.
