The attached file was from an Audi A4 instrument cluster (thought the chip was S4, but it is not. If I can, I'll delete then move this post.)
You can see the A4 part number in ASCII at offset 0x818: 8D0 [920] 980C.
Data extracted using a Willem eeprom programmer and a SOIC8 socket (OTS-16.1.27) in the DIP, 16 bit wordsize.
Use your favorite hex-dump tool to compare. Enjoy.
