Hello everybody!

Few days ago i am dynoed 2004 2.7tt car (ME 7.1.1) with all stock engine but with k04 turbos. So i am noticed, that near 2250-2300 millibar and 300-310g/sec at 5600-5800 rpm, vagcom show me load around 180%. Ok, on high octane fuel i obtain near 350-60 hp. But as we can see, there are axis LOAD limit (for KFZW for example) something around 192%.
What i digging in functionrahmen and ols files. There 2 types of axis for load of ignition. SRL12ZUUB and SRL12ZUUW. RS4 SW use 16-bit SRL12ZUUW, so there is "unlimited" field for spread load axis. ME7.1.1 according to ols-csv file has both axis, but use SRL12ZUUW.
Main problem is ME7.1 boxes for s-cars, a6, allroads. It use only 8-bit SRL12ZUUB, and problem is 192%=FF, so, near the 330 g/sec 192 % will topped out with no spread possible.

So, is this a limit? Or when MAF will be changed for example on RS4,(and of course 2 maps and 1 const changed to), LOAD  will be automatically rescaled, and for 300g/sec LOAD will not 180% but 140% or 120 or 100?
Or maybe i dont understend some simple things?

Thank you)

You are right, there are two load variables in the ECU, and one is 16 bit and one is 8 bit. The ECU always calculates both, and internally uses 16 bit. Any maps that only use the 8 bit load axis values though are limited.

Tony thank you for answer!

But lets talk about KFZW for example. In Functionrahmen, i see that for KFZW (and some other spark tables) LOAD axis is 8-bit SRL12ZUUB. And in 8D0-551G ols file, KFZW use 8-bit LOAD SRL12ZUUB. Moreover, in this ols file even no adress for 16-bit LOAD. So, how we can tune 400+ hp (340-350 g/sec) on 8D0-551G,M,C etc SW? Or i am wrong, and physically, in asm-code, maps use other load points, and SRL12ZUUB only a picture, even if iam change points in it, this will no effect on motronic functions?
Can you correct my misunderstending about this moment?

Internally in assembly code everything is done with 16 bit load values, but the ignition timing maps all use 8 bit load values. The 16 bit load value is copied into the 8 bit load value after it is calculated. The 8 bit load value has a maximum of 191%, but the 16 bit load value has no meaningful limit.

If you want to tune the ignition timing above 191% load, then you need to use the last axis value. Any value above 191% load will use the last axis entry.

You can underscale the MAF and injectors to cause the ECU to underscale calculated load. This will allow you to run within the 191% load limit, but will you have to rescale all maps referencing load to ensure you don't have undesired side effects.
