Was putting my ecu in boot mode and noticed that someone switched the red and black terminals .....so I was hooking positive to negative and negative to positive ....   Was never able to get Into boot made after that .....my cable seems fine the light still lights up and there was no smoke or funny smells ......going to try again tomorrow ,

ECU is most likely fine, but get a new cable.

Just tested cable and you were right cable is fried ....applaud for you sir .......first I have to get a working cable then i can go back to testing ecu .....fingers crossed that ecu is still good

Same has happened to me. Now i stocked up on FTDI cables (i have 3) and an MPPS Wink

You wanna sell one? Lol .....trying to get an ftdi cable and turn it to galletto ....but the last one I ordered it was from China and don't want 2 weeks ...... The next best thing is Arizona for $20 but that'll take awhile too ...smh

Just get one from ebay. I got one of mine from the UK. Just make sure you search for FT232RL to get the correct one. Even if I would sell you one, I am located in Europe and even if I use DHL to send it, it takes 3 business days to get it across the ocean and would cost a fortune.
