Trying to read my ecu in boot mode with galletto cable 1260. I'm getting into boot mode ok but instantly saying 'error reading  ecu data 0'.
The ecu has been tuned/remapped and is from a 2002.Audi a4 1.8t. Me7.5
Anyone point me the the correct direction please.

This forum has been amazing so far and I would hate to have to stop here because of this.

Really all I'm asking is it because my ecu is mapped and maybe read protected or something that I can not read it in boot mode, or is that the whole point of boot mode that it bypasses at a lower level.

Well when I don't prob the boot pin it just says boot mode not active or such like. So I'm sure I'm getting into boot mode, as soon as I click ok to the normal prompts about how to get into boot mode I get the read error. I've selected the correct chip 800bb under bootmode option. I've also attached a little picture of my harness setup. I've connected exactly as on the wiki description of how to make up a  bench harness.
well yes that would not be a bad idea with the remote access, if you don't mind.
