Maybe you should open your file before posting it.

Sorry all,
I took this straight off through the OBDii port and it took a good 4minutes to read and save so I was under the understanding that that file was ok. Unsure where to go to now then. Please close this thread if you see fit.

Hi darkshado,
No problem, do you require the eeprom read or the full read through nefmoto?

use argdub's tool to read the eeprom in boot mode. There are how to's at the top of the forum. Read over you will figure it out its not that hard. Also I a vid on how to use http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nZSv0n4seBA

Hi all, Still having issues with getting the ECU into bootmode, I'm sure I'm doing everything right, this is the error I keep getting: C:\Users\Jays>C:\Users\Jays\Desktop\EEPROM\me7_95040.exe --bootmode -p 1 -r 9504 0.bin Ver: 1.31 Com Port: 1 Baud Rate: 10400 Opening COM1 ... OK Starting Boot_mode ... FAIL ... No response from ECU. (error=0x07) Closing COM1 and I am going off of the attached image to try to get the ECU into bootmode. I have tried to ground out the pad marked red to the battery negative terminal and also the ecu shroud (just below the pin, the silver strip that runs around the ecu) What am I doing wrong?! I'm tempted just to get a new ECU now

It's a 2000 Volkswagen Golf 1.8t GTI, it's the ME7.5 with infineon processor. I'm actually in the process of sourcing OBDII connectors etc to make up a bench harness.
