mk4 1.8T AUM

« on: March 14, 2014, 06:33:15 AM »

hi

i have a problem - after accelerating at WOT (or close to wot) engine cant propery handle idle speed.
for example - pulling hard to 4k and depress gas pedal, shifting to N (manual gerabox) or hold clutch and then rpms goes down but   dont hold at idle and drops to 600 or more and sometimes the engine may stall
and i see at this moment 0.75 lambda (spec and actual) and accordingly long injection time - i think this is the reason but i dont know why ECU want so rich at idle

all ok with unplugged maf or on low loads

1.8t AUM (AUQ, AWP etc)
TT maf housing with stock unit (pretty new) scaled with mazer.gti mafadjust tool

I think it got so rich it stalled..

Is it safe to assume you are running larger injectors?

KFVAKL

KFAKAV

may need some looking into? I'm guessing here.

There isn't much to that log.

Why the larger MAF housing?

yes im using larger (TT 225) injectors with 4 bar FPR. changed krkte, tvub and kflf.
larger maf housing because hybrid turbo makes 200+ g/s
i can only use vag-com to log .. others are not worked (communication errors) dont know why. waiting for MPPS cable i think it helps
didnt changed KFVAKL and KFAKAV. gonna define them and looking tonight thanks

Set the CONNECTION in the ME7Logger .ecu file to 0x00.

Vagcom logs are not sufficient. If you have to, run a dedicated K-line, or pull the cluster for logging.

What does this do exactly?

Since and only since you switched MAF and injectors from a TT225 to the AWP/AUQ, copy all the fueling maps over and stock MAF maps and correction maps over. Don't forget the wall film maps also. Because these are your new *stock* settings. So start from there. Put MLHFM to stock for the 225TT also.

See if the rich condition happens again. or put your hardware back to stock with stock ECU settings and see if the rich condition goes away.
