Mkiv golf 2002 with immi 3 clocks swapped yesterday but the instrument soft coding will not change.
Sometimes get the message login lost due to.... blah blah blahhhh
What should i do? just trying to get the last digit from 1 to 2 so the speedometer is reading correctly.

Have you considered that what you are entering is not a valid option?
Have you tried entering something you KNOW would work to see if the coding changes?

Its most likely the last digit in the coding.
If you try 2 or 3 for your distance multiplier I believe it wont work on some clusters.
Just set it to 0 and the can bus takes care of it.

Great ill try this, i haven't been able to try yet. i hope it works.
Also I'm changing my wheels so do i need to do anything in terms of wheel speed correction.

Most of the clusters with stock software will not take coding with 0 as last digit. It can be done but you have to adapt cluster dump - set proper k value and then set 0 as last coding digit...

So what do you recommend for me, is there a diy guide on here when someone else has done this.
Would be good to get it sorted because going through speed camera's isn't fun!!! haha

coding will accept 1,3,4 but not 0 or 2
Trying it with 4 at the moment because ross-tech say 2002+ models sometimes have 4 so ill let you guys know what 4 does.

To change to 0 this is what you do. Take note at what your existing coding is currently. Use vageeprom or equivalent to reed e2p. Then use vcds and change the last number in softcoding to something different that it will except for softcoding click do it. Verify the change was made. Then read the e2p again. Use ols and compare the 2 dumps find the changes in the dump to locate the address (don't have my computer in front of me on my phone otherwise I'd share) if your last digit is 1 and you changed it to 3 look for 11 01 in the one and 33 03 in the other. Change these bits to 00 00 and that will enable cluster to read from canbus.
