Hi guys, I tried to build a pcb to read the M.E 7.5 . The only problem is that the circuit diagram that I found in a post here with the description of how to do it is different. In the diagram it appears that the ignition switch acts like the main power off, as the ignition line and the + power line are connected from the pcb to the ecu. Also the fuse that is suggested is only 250mA which should be 1250mA. I upload the photos and if somebody have some knowledge please give a help.

For my part, I use

-one old me7 harness connector
-odb2 to obd1 (2x2) adaptor
-multimeter wiring with banana plug
-current and voltage adjustable power supply

I don't use any resistor because I can limit the current on my PS

But an me7 ecu on the bench don't take more than 300mA if I remember. I'll check how many mA it take, next time I will play on my me7.5

Thank you for your answer.

The resistors I used were for the led lights.

My concern is that the ignition switch is used only for the ignition line or on both ignition and +voltage line

Hi,

just use 62 as Klemme30 which is steady plus and 3 as Klemme15 which is ignition on.

Hi Marcus, do you mean pin 62 as ignition and on another line pin03 as steady plus?

Thank you for your time that you took to read and answer my post.

No you mixed it. Its like i wrote before. the small one is steady and the big one is ignition.

Just have a look at a 1.8t wiring diagram via google.

Thank for your info I will add ignition switch to my harness. what about the pin21 ? go to klemme 30 or 15 ?
