So I tried reading the EEPROM from a 2003 a4 b6 cluster.... I thought it would be a good idea to start reading bins to post here and have on hand. Well I tried reading this one and at 22 percent the cluster flashed and the LCD was blank. After that I cycled the key and the speedo went to 120mph and the fuel gauge went to over full / car won't start from immo.... I called a friend with same model but next year up (2004) b6 a4 to get a read from to see if I can get this one working. After a successful read from the 2004 I wrote it to the 2003 and the cluter came to life but still wouldn't start because of immo and said deff error where the odometer LCD is. So I immo offed the ecu to get the car to start because the guy needed the car right then and was willing to deal with the immo light until a later point till this could get fix. Well after the car started all was good until the 4 wasys started flashing about 30 seconds later so I unplugged it for now... At this point I don't know what to do I don't have the orig EEPROM for the cluster, the one I got from the 2004 won't work... Vcds says there is a EEPROM error too that can't be cleared. Of anyone has any idea or can point me in a direction that would be the best this ever at this point... Honestly I don't know what I should do at this point...
Thanks

I knew what this thread was before opening it.

I warned you about just trying to copy eeproms from one cluster to another. I warn everyone. You bricked a Bosch RB4 crypto cluster. The only way to recover it is with authentic tools.

I would PM f1torrents, or k0mpressd.

There is no other way to recover it.
