I've picked up a spare ECU to play with, does anyone know if I can flash an AWT with an AUQ bin?

4B0906018DC is not for AEB! It is for AWT.

im assuming the awt is the same as the awm... if so the maf housing is a different size the injectors are a different size. the file will flash but I know the hn is immo3 and i believe the 018dc is immo2. if so youll have a eeprom error car wont start. if you use a immo3 immo off eeprom it will start. Id check maf housing diameter and rescale and same thing with injectors... if thats what you want to do... but seems like a lot of work to do it the wrong way

I understand that OP is wanting to use AWT ECU as spare for his AUQ car and that is why he wants to flash it with AUQ software.
This AWT ECU is IMMO2 in fact.

If the bootrom version is the same, the ecu shouldn't brick. If the factor for KRKTE is the same, it should work.

I've attached the eeprom for this ECU (unless I've made a massive cockup with my filesystem, this is correct), I'm pretty sure its immo 3: EEPROM Status: - VIN: WAUZZZ4BX2N148544 (Audi 2002 - A6 96-04, Neckarsulm, Germany; Mlada Boleslav) - SKC: 0847 - Immobiliser: On - Checksum: Invalid Checksum - Size: 512bytes - Cluster Code: 12 22 3B 59 7C 9A - P0601 DTC: not set - Immo ID: UZ5Z0B5128127
If this was immo2, could I flash on a immo3 eeprom to make it immo3, or is software/other stuff in the ecu different too?

You are wrong as this ECU was never used in A4 B6 (8E). It was used only in B5.5 (8D) A4s and Passats.

I'm pretty sure I named the flash file wrong when I saved it, as I think I took the ECU out of an A6 1.8t quattro, and that matches the eeprom vin lookup. Failing that I've shown the me7check for a totally different bin and wasted everyones time *will check*

ECU from 8E would be 8E0 906 018 with letter/-s suffix.

I checked, this is defo an immo 3 ECU, and its definitely from an A6, the original flash dump was incorrectly named. Anyway, I've flashed this with an 032HN bin and it seems to work fine
