I bought a 2001 Audi S4 that the owner started going stage 3 but ran into problems and decided to sell it. One of the problems is that the tune is an EPL tune for K04's, Ev14 52lb, 4 bar fuel pump, and a 85mm tapered MAF. The MAF on the car is a 034 open air element with a 85mm MAF which, I assume, is causing problems with my AFR creating my misfires. My AFR goes to ~7 on the high RPM.

I've looked for an EPL MAF housing to get the right one but no one is selling them separately. I was wondering if it would be easy, relatively speaking, to just adjust the tune from a tapered to a straight MAF housing or should I just start from scratch?

Eventually I plan on getting the car tuned but want to get intercoolers and downpipes before I spend lots of money on a tune. I don't have a wideband sensor but can take logs or post the ones just let me know.

Thanks

I would start from scratch and tune it properly for hardware you are using.

You will not be able to edit the EPL tune.

You might want to figure out why target lambda is 0.5.

The MAF housing has no direct connection to target lambda.

I was told that since the MAF housing was wrong for the tune, what will cause my AFR to be off causing my misfire.  I attached my csv files if you want to look.

How did you get an EPL tune without their fueling kit?

I don't want to make accusations, but it seems as though you're trying to do something untoward.

Target lambda is not .5

I'm seeing:
EGT sensor activity (bad EGT, or you have very high egts)
EGT enrich to .7
Also, your O2 voltages look really really bad.

It's what came with the car, as I said the car was pieced together [badly].

Also the logs are in second gear, I don't have a good place to do 3rd gear pulls.
