Hi everyone

I have been having a problem with my 2001.5 audi TT 225 since I bought it and I finally found a replacement cluster for it

I used vagtacho to retrieve the skc/pin and vcds to adapt the new cluster (immo III), no problems there. I swapped it yesterday and got the car running perfectly with the new cluster and key adapted.

My problem is the replacement cluster has 50k+ miles than my original cluster. I have been trying to correct the mileage but no success so far

I tried with vagtacho 3.01 and vag-k+can commander but they did not work. If anyone can point me in the right direction of what tool would work for my application I would really appreciate it

I did some research and the carprog seems to be a great tool and also support many other cars

My question is would I be able to correct the mileage with carprog through the obd port on my tt or will it need to be removed and bench flashed?

Do you know of any tool that will make it possible to flash it through obd port? At this point I wouldn't mind spending a bit more for a tool that can get the job done I just want to get done on my own and in case something goes wrong with the replacement dash in the future I would be able to take care of it

I've had issues with avdi on later (01+) TT clusters, support eventually told me they didn't support that cluster. A 9s12 programmer from ebay did the job.  It did require soldering to the board.  The software provided with my programmer did not correctly change the mileage or display the pin.

I've had luck with a program called VAG eeprom programmer, found on these forums somewhere. I've tried soldering before too but that was before I found this. Soldering is nice, but it takes forever.
