I'm an ex subaru owner/tuner and I do commercial building HVAC and automation for a living. I was always partial to subarus because the tuning community is so well developed and easy to get into. My friend also owns an '02 A4 and I started exploring options for tuning his car and I wound up here. Nefmoto literally drove me to purchase an audi. I was under the impression that most cars could not be reflashed without a chip.

I have been lurking these forums for a good 4 months now taking in as much info as possible. A couple weeks ago I got my hands on an '02 A4 B6. It didn't drive quite like I expected but figured it was just a different car and that was normal. Finally my FTDI cable came in and I went to read my ECU;

Request upload from ECU failed, ECU reports service is not supported. Request upload may have been disabled by aftermarket engine software.

I acquired a stock bin on here and ran it through the cheksum tool. Hooked everything up and wrote it to the ECU. Car started up perfectly. Took it for a test drive and its like a whole different car. It is so much easier to drive now!
