Hello.

I was just wondering why the search box is so poor. I have never been able to find past threads using it.

For example, I want to find the thread where we discussed KVB so I search for that and get a load of pages that don't contain the term when I do a text search of the page.

Am i doing it wrong?

If you perform a search while reading a thread in a sub forum the search will only search that sub forum.

I agree that SMF's search is frustrating.

There seems to be a problem with forum search when the forum log file gets large. I cleared the log file when I moved the server to Amazon. So hopefully everything keeps working until I can get the search issue with the log file sorted.

into the search box while in this thread and get no results

??

search function works fine for me. always make sure to search from homepage of forum.

Try this:

Search for exotic

Topic is returned with mention of exotic plaything

Now search for plaything from home page
