Hi.
I owned a 2001 vw 1.8t used to tuned Subaru's using Ecu flash and romraider.
I'm trying too custom tune this car. with big turbo. My problem the car use to be automatic and I put a manual transmission.
Can I use the definitions from a manual car to tune the vehicle?
I've been working with mk4s since 2000 but this will be my first custom tune. I'm trying to avoid eurodyne maestro7 if I can.
Thanks

Flash a manual file that is well defined.

Flash a manual file that is well defined.
Sorry for the ignorant question.
Are you telling me to flash a different bin into the ecu or just to flash the manual xds? I was thinking that I could flash an original 06a903032cl bin which is for manual trans.
Or use flash 06a903032dl which another manual bin. for the same year.
Thanks

Not entirely sure this is related enough but here goes!

A week or so old member but have been browsing for about 3 weeks or so.. Basically a week after i got the car.
I am not one of those asking to be spoon fed or to have it done for me just a point in the right direction or to the right information in said direction.

I have read, read, and read some more but for the life of me i cant seem to find an xdf for my ecu which is the same one this thread is about. However, my car is still an auto trans and fully stock at the moment. I have gotten winols, the damos file specific to my ecu "albeit in german and translated some which match up but tunerpro is more user friendly IMO", tunerpro, and a RELATED xdf, to no avail because i only get partial maps and incorrect values most of the time. i have checked out the noob videos for winols and read some more.

Now is the advice given to the op the same as one would advise me? Get a related "well defined" auto bin, flash it, then tune from there i assume?

thanks in advance and mods i do apologize in advance if this is in the wrong section!

Also I read the ecu code incorrectly unless the op got his wrong that is.. Mine is 06A906032CM.

hummmmm,

so much text and confusion. lets sort the facts:

Your car is stock with a 06A906032CM ecu?
So your car is a Jetta with auto trans?
you have a maching damos already?
you are planning to do a stage1?

I felt that with the ecu number being different i should create a thread of my own. This way any information learned or discovered could be shared. If this is not acceptable please let me know!
