Using the method described in the post here:

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=567.0title=

I did a little bit of comparing and guessing at my DTC Tables and came up with this
DTC Error Class Table: 0x0108D0
DTC MFG P Code Table: 0x014254

I found p2404 at 0x014956 giving me index of E0. 108D0 + E0 = 109B0.

The hex value at 109B0 is 0A and that seems odd to me. Just wondering if I've done this right. Of course I'm going to flash this and see if it works but this code takes a few days to pop up.

Update: car now is catless with evap and sai deletes and is running great with no dtcs. Changed post title

But what profit from changing ESKONF? Its very easy to make mistake and delete something that you dont want. I also have no idea how to identify ESKONF via IDA...

my. bin is throwing me for a loop... right above kfkhfm I find what looks to be two eskonf

AA   FF   00   30   E3   F8   30   AA   FF   00   30   23   F8   30

I assume the correct one is the second one with 23  on byte 4 because I know I have BKV. Any idea what the purpose of two of them is though? must be something to do with the brake booster, possibly empty reservoir? should I make the same changes to both? should i ask more questions?  Grin

That is correct, you have two. One is for variant coding.

Usually auto/manual.

How is it hard? There are 3 (ish) variations in VAG.

ME7.5 is all the same
ME7.1 is all the same
ME7.1.1 is mostly the same.

If you get it wrong, so what? Flip the bits back and try again.

Do both variations of ESKONF.

I did. looking at my bin I very ignorantly guessed at ldp's location. trying to find a better bin to compare to. I have it addressed at 181a7 but am thinking its actually 181a8.

Error classing open circuit codes kills fuel trims. I don't think he wants that.
