I've already listed a problem with my tt cluster showing 999999km and I need to correct it. I now have carprog and there is a way by soldering a few wires to reflash the MCU, has anyone done this before? Do you now what it does to the eeprom info like the immob data and skc?

From what I understand, the MCU holds the eeprom data and the software for the cluster?

The cluster is a Jaeger, Magenti Marrieli type and believer it has a  motorolla MCU.

Thanks for any replies, find information on this is proving to be very difficult.

these are easier points to solder than the ones carprog shows directly on the mcu.
picture is of a beetle, same for tt.

Thanks for the picture k0mpresd, that does look easier. Do you know what happens the the immob and odo if I reflash using carprog?
Does the odo change to 0? and do I have to adapt the cluster back to the ecu?

Thanks again

carprog only reads and writes the mcu and 24j. you will need to do all the editing yourself.
