have you missed the past, i dont know, 10yrs or so? lol.
vdspro will do it from a bootable dos disc and db9 cable or theres a windows based app that will do it using a kkl cable.
heres the windows based app, it only works on certain modules, basically only mk4s.

there should also be a massive thread on tdiclub regarding vds pro and loads of information. its from 2006ish maybe or so i think was when it was started.
