Ok, so I cracked open an ECU and I noticed I need to get the PCB board loose and flip it. I see three small plastic nubs that hold the PCB. I have tried to push them in the right direction and at the same time trying to pry the board loose. But I was not successful and a bit afraid if I try harder I just brake the shit.
Someone with some smart tip on how I get the PCB loose?

What ECU is this? If you are talking about the three plastic nubs in a row next to the connector - DO NOT undo these - they are for holding the connector against the board.
All the me7.5 ECUs I've taken apart just have the board floating in the metal casing, although with some of them the board is glued in with some sealent, VERY GENTLY pry it out, then once its out a little, cut the sealent.

He he! Thanks for the heads up! When you explain it like that I do understand now why I should not start messing with the plastic nubs. Hope I didn't brake anything, but I don't think so, I was pretty gentle when I started to pry.

ive seen them glued on both ides, but diagonally from each other. which will cause it to twist the PCB if you don't break if free from the housing. opening ecu's is nerve-racking business!!

IMHO opening most of MED9/17/EDC17 ecus is a children play. A bit of experience, 2 flat screwdrivers, 1 office cutter and max 3 minutes of work...

IMHO opening most of MED9/17/EDC17 ecus is a children play. A bit of experience, 2 flat screwdrivers, 1 office cutter and max 3 minutes of work... Could you possibly write a short how-to on this? And how do you guys assemble an opened ECU again. Do you use anything to seal it properly?

Ok, I got this ME7.1 ECU cracked open, and now when I know how to do it, it is really easy. Now im gonna try out my cheap Fgtech V54 chinese tool, see if I can understand how it is suppose to work. Here's the ECU: And this ECU connector:

OK, I managed to read the ECU in boot-mode. It's from a VW Passat VR5 20v 170PS ME7.1 engine.

The ME7.5 ECU's are even easier as someone already have said. The PCB board is loose and the ECU case have no sealant, not like my ME7.1 VR5 ECU that had some sticky black stuff.

Not all of them, I have one here that has super sticky black goo holding it together.
