SO.. after all the back and forth about whether or not the RSA signature is a a problem for ME7.1.1 cars.... I would have to day that I think it IS A PROBLEM!!   I have used a file on my 2003 a6 BEL for a few weeks that someone checksumed for me with no errors. After awhile ME7Sum was updated to handle ME7.1.1  ECU's with the notion that there would be an RSA error.. But was told the car should be fine. 1 day of driving to work an stopping at 2 stores. Ran in the second 1 for about 3 minutes and came out to the car just cranking but no starting.Thought I could reflash over the with my known good file but that didnt work. Now I am crapping Bricks because I had to leave me car at the neighborhood 7-11 Cry
If no one has a Galetto cable here in town, wth should I do>??
P.S. I do know that there could be a chance this issue is unrelated to me using Nefmoto.

Sorry to hear that Sad

I am working on RSA support right now.. its almost done.

BTW ... you can use any ftdi cable with galletto.

In general, you should not be flashing any file unless you have bootmode working just in case..

I have alerted my buddy that lives in LV as to your situation. I suggest posting your contact info so that I may forward it.

Thanks guys. I'm glad to hear I can use any ftdi cable with galletto.  And I think I found someone here in town. But my email is Royal769sr@gmail.com
Thanks again, and I knew I should have been prepared for the just in case. Live and learn

Alternately, it never hurts to have a spare ECU lying around..

Reflashing with known good file should preclude checksum error, no?  The ori flashed OK?  I've flashed literally dozens of times with RSA error with no issues, multiple starts and running for several hours (using MTX, not ME7sum, so that could be a difference).  Very curious, I feel for you!
