hello
thats a maybe stupid question that i googled for some days but cant find anything..

why 1 bar on K03 is ~200hp and 1 bar on GT28 (or any big turbo) is ~300hp with the same IAT ?

impossible unless the engines volumetric efficiency jumps by 50% with big turbo...
Less turbine backpressure-->more air through engine--> more hp

Its all about density.
send 20 psi thru a straw
and try to send 20 psi thru a 2" pipe
same reason we have intercooler
Air expands when hot taking more space and less density.

Not to mention a bigger turbo can flow a lot more air than a smaller k03.  More air can be moved through the engine so you can add more fuel and everything else to make more power.

Well buergi's point is that the VE of the motor is the main limiting factor... for a given density of air and pressure, the same amount of air mass will flow through a motor, regardless of the turbo.

That said, backpressure and IAT's do have an effect.

Also you have to think about where max torque occurs. A bigger turbo will hit peak efficiency at a higher rpm. That being said I think it would be better to compare torque rather than horsepower.
