Today I had to learn how-to bootmode flash the 1.8T ME7.5 A4 8E0909518 ecu.

Here is how I did it.

Download the PDF below from APR on how-to remove the ecu from the car. This requires a Dremel tool to notch out a flat area in the break away screws. They are glued in so some force is required.

The picture shows the location on the ecu board and chip that is required to be grounded to get the ecu to enter bootmode for flashing/recovery.




The rest of the process is the same as with the B5 S4 and C5 A6 2.7T ME7 ecu's as far as software and cable wise as its the same 800BB chip. Please reference a guide on that ecu for further details.
