If i buy an ecu ex 518f and i transfer my bin onto that ecu will my car start? Yes probably simple question but i thought i would ask. What are the boundaries on puting your bin on random ecus?

518F and 518G are cross flashable.

518AF will not work in your car.

If you put your flash and eeprom on a replacement that is compatible it will run the car.

03+ ak/af, ect will actually work in a 2002 car. ive seen it happen. the soft wont, but the whole ecu will work.
