Hi I am having a mare.I have tried to use the soic clip to extract the info from the immo.ii have been reading the 24c02 in the centre of the board on the side that the flash is on.All I getis 0000s when I plug the ecu into the car it says ecu no connection is this because of the immo stopping it.
I am putiing the indent on the chip as number 1 and so on my programmer.I did the same with the other 8way soic on the same side but the same outcome just in case I had the wrong chip.
Can anyone help me please as I am new to immo off and everyonesays it is easy.Do you think I should get an adapter and desolder also,

 Many Thanks Marc

sorry not enough info.First ecu is 3.8.3 ecu number 06A906018CG and the second is 06a906018r.A customer has bought the 18r ecu thinking it can go onto a later car but the ecu's are different so we are trying to get the immo off on the 18cg and hopefully transfer the map over if possible.
I am looking for the location of the immo chip and if I have to remove from the flash aswell. With the ecu's with both I cannot get them to read over obd it won't connect to ecu I am thinking the immo isn't let me into the flash due to wrong immo.

desolder the 24c02 and read using a programmer. the problem is the soic8 just doesnt have a good connection to the chip.

I cannot upload pics as to big.Th only chip with 24c02 is in the middle of the board.I took this off and put it in ythe soic and it says the same timeout error so it seems it is poor connection is this common with this tool so now I am waiting for my adapter to try with that.
After I tried with the soic on the board I connected to the car and now it hasn't got comms can the immo lock the ecu from communication?
