You need to run command line tools from the cmd, not from explorer. Take a look at this guide:

You need to make sure you use the rosstech vcp drivers, not the standard rosstech drivers.

For the record, neither of my hex-can cables work with anything com-port specific, and I have the VCP drivers.

Likewise, but I put that down to me not really caring enough to make it work, when there are kkl leads around.

Hi.

Tested little more tonight. Think  i understand   how this  works in cmd now. Roll Eyes Grin hehe..   Tested  with  both original ross-tech  HEX-USB+CAN cable  in dumb mode and a GAlletto 1260 cable.   Comport OK  it says.  but with both  cabels   i got a error code saying: Initating communication FAILURE ( =0X07)

Some of you guys have any advise  for this? Huh

Thanks!

Have a Nice Weekend!

Unplug the cable, plug it back in, try again. I get that occasionally with my kkl lead.

I got the same message but I ran it in boot mode. After holding the boot pin a little longer it worked. Also i did it with galleto cable.
