So I just bought a 6mt to swap out my 5tip. In a 2002 Audi A4 with a 518f ecu. To my understanding, the 518f ecu can not be flashed with a different file, correct? I don't have a problem just recoding the ecu to a manual, just thought it would be nice to have a little better defined map pack. Anyone have a little more insight on this subject?

The 2002 ecu has a slower processor then the later models. As such, it cannot be crossflashed with anything but 518G (and maybe the ROW equivalent, but no 03-05 files).

Alright, so what if I were to pick up a 518af ecu? Would that just be better all around?
