Hello all

I just done repair my FIS cluster,im adding another tread about those cluster on the community Smiley

At first i bought a Maxidot LCD from Europe, but we failed to solder it the right way, so we just bought another one, but the new chinese version because it was cheap , 40$. The Maxidot was removed but the tiny connector got damaged

The fading LCD:

Once soldered

testing on the Bench

My complete bench setup, with my PC power supply, it came from a old 386 server

Close-up, the new series has the controler on a board-- I also cut the metal lip where usually this press on the ribbon cable, i cut it to give less pressure on the ribbon (the maxidot was full widht)

Another immo2 cluster testing -- Notice that i removed the buzzer on both cluster.. the annoying buzzer, but on the top one i left the empty housing

Testing with needles and all

closeup on my bench wiring - i do my ECU mapping that way too

End result:
