Hi, bare with with me im learning the ropes here  Tongue

When changing to custom routine, the write up says to change 0x8B3A6 to 0x8B3A9 from F3 F8 F3 8A to DA 88 00 E8. Im just a little confused. Im assuming that this write up was done on a 2.7 because on my 1.8t file the origanal code is different. Do I just replace whats there with the new code?

Thanks everyone!!

ok so i got every sorted out. error corrected with me7sum and checked with me7checker. all is good.

Now do i need to go into tuner pro and change the settings for rpm thresold, speed thershold etc.?

i tried this already and me7sum finds 3 uncorrectable errors, am i doing something wrong?

That tool does the wrong thing. It simply nop's the RSA code.. the problem is that NLS modifications are stomping random areas in memory. Lucky its only stomping on the RSA routines.

PLEASE read this post carefully, several times Tongue

ive already had this conversation off this forum.
so is me7sum updated to fix the chks correctly? or is the other still the only option?
it doesnt really matter how it makes it work. it works. other software doesnt.

Care to elaborate? I've posted all the information I have here already. Not a fan of the secret handshake stuff. Leave that to the Euro tuners.

me7sum does things correctly. The NLS script does bad things to the bin.

Disagree strongly on every level.

Bottom line: The NLS script needs to be fixed.

I have no interest in changing me7sum to disable any checksum routines.

At this point, if you can't fix the problem given the information in this post

http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=6308.msg69224#msg69224

... you have no business adding NLS.

It case it wasn't clear from my last post: you don't need ecufix or a checksum program to permanently disable RSA checking in the bin.
