Hello and greetings from Finland!

I have a big problem with key matching. Story goes like this, my wife bought Audi A4 -01  with that sadly famous magneti marelli instrument cluster. So cluster does not work at all when it is cold, little bit of life when it gets warm.
I bought VDO cluster to fix this problem but that VDO has also strange problems.. Adaption channel 50 does not work at all? I read that when channel 50 does not work, you must do adaption with control module map. Well i ignored this and write SKC from old cluster to new cluster in EEPROM, VagTacho gives now the right SKC.

But now i have problem with key matcing. If I try vag-com key adaption (channel 21), software says only error and do nothing. VagTacho says same. Key chips ID48 are virgin and brand new.
Is there any ideas to do this adaption? Any ideas is welcome!

Well.. Im not sure did i understand what you mean about that.. But anyway login is allright, new module with
old module SKC. Same like that was adapted in channel 50 etc.
But the problem is in programming keys.

Login -> Adaption -> Channel 21 -> New value = 1 -> Test -> ERROR

I read fault codes and ecu gives this:
18058 - Powertrain Data Bus: Missing Message from Instrument Cluster
P1650 - 35-00

Cluster gives
01300 - Control module for Navigation with CD-Rom (J401)
49-00 - No communication
01179 - Incorrect Key Programming
35-00

And CAN gives no response..

Am i stupid or is there something what i did not noticed.. I made all this successfully with my own Golf couple of years ago..

Could there be problem with ECU or in communication?
