OK so all my friends own Mk4 GLI's and 20th's.

I cannot seem to get a spare 5 speed 032DL ecu with immo removed to work with 6 speed 032RN programming or a DL flash on a RN ecu.
The DL ecu with DL software will run in the GLI or 20th and the RN ecu with RN software will run in a jetta/golf/xxxxx...immo defeated of coarse.

I tried bench flashing via galletto. Bench and OBD2 via mpps. OBD2 via Nef. no combo works.

I end up flashing the RN ecu back with RN software via bench galletto and it fires right up.

You must use the matching eeprom. 032DL is immo2. If you want to run an immo3 binary, you must also use an immo3 eeprom.

Even if both ecu's have the same eeprom immo removed bin file?

I have a bad TB RN ecu but the flash is still good. Might have had a tuner defeat this ecu already i cant not remember. Ill pull in the RN eeprom info.

I think this guy said it best:

You must use the matching eeprom. 032DL is immo2. If you want to run an immo3 binary, you must also use an immo3 eeprom.

I guess I do not understand this. Clone immo3 ecu eeprom to immo2 ecu eeprom?

I am trying to understand this. Buddy of mine has immo 2 tdi car and is using an immo3 tdi ecu with just an immo defeat and has no issue.

Do you mean the cluster immo data?

You must use the matching eeprom. 032DL is immo2. If you want to run an immo3 binary, you must also use an immo3 eeprom.

What don't you understand? The ecus share the same hardware. In order to use an immo3 file on an immo2 ecu, you have to use the immo3 eeprom.

That's it. The end.

If you flash an 032RN file, use the 032RN eeprom.

I guess what I do not understand is that both ecu's have the same eeprom immo off file with no vin/cluster/immo id data.

I do not have the original eeprom file. It was lost when my netbook hdd died. Now everything gets saved in the cloud.

Would it work if I pulled the eeprom bin from a non immo defeat RN ecu and only turned off immo?

I might have the 1st original non RN immo defeated ecu, but it does not power up. The 2nd RN ecu was re-flashed and immo defeated by a big brand tuner.....then a week later the rear o2 was shorted out killing the throttle. I bought that car to part out. I could remove the original 95040 chip and put it on the semi working ecu to pull eeprom info?

Yes, you could swap the chips, or you could use this eeprom. Immo is off, so you may use it with any immo3 flash.
