2000 a6 with an mbox?
« on: March 03, 2015, 03:23:17 PM »
Hello,
I've been working on my car (02 a6 2.7t w/ ko4's) and its got a rough tune for now that is working. My question is about a 2000 A6 2.7t with a 6 speed. Its got a 551k box in it and I've tried to flash an m box to it with no success. It'll flash, crank up and sounds pretty good at idle but as soon as my friend takes off it'll bog out. Unplug the MAF and it runs good... I did set the MLOFS to 200. Is there anything else I need to change from hitachi to bosch to make this work?

MLHFM. You should not be doing any tuning.

Pretty sure this is in the noob forum? I understand what is going on to make the 2.7t work the way it does and just because I don't know exact place to make a change doesn't mean that "I shouldn't be tuning anything"... I appreciated your input on my last post and I appreciate it here other than your bold assumption. I do log my car and am running a wideband to make sure I'm safe and I've yet to run into a scenario that required an immediate change as of yet. I'm sure the chances of that are decent as I'm sure you didn't know all that you do now ( which is a lot ) when you first tried to tune something. Again, thank you for the input and I'll research the change needed and implement that to the tune I'm trying to flash ( which is a stage 1 tune I used on my car before I went stage 2 plus that I built based off information I gathered on this site) and hope it gets him moving

If you start fresh you can use a bosch stock file. go from there.
